ABOUT FILS D’IDENTITÉ

Fils d’identité is a ritual audio performance built around voice, body, memory and collective presence.

At the centre of the work is a ten-metre braid. It functions as a sculptural object, an extension of the artist’s body and a living thread connecting individual stories.

Participants are invited to hold the braid, move with the artist and enter the performance through headphones.

The audio moves between fairy tale, testimony, mantra, memorial and spell. Personal memory becomes a collective experience without being reduced to spectacle.

The body becomes an archive. The voice becomes a ritual. The performance creates a temporary space for resistance, mourning, queer healing and transformation.

LIVE / VIDEO / INSTALLATION FORMATS

Fils d’identité exists in several interconnected forms:

LIVE RITUAL PERFORMANCE

A durational performance with voice, movement, headphones and a ten-metre braid held by participants.

MULTILINGUAL AUDIO WORK

The work is available in Russian, French, English and Italian. Each language changes the emotional texture of the story.

PARTICIPATORY PROCESSION

The braid can move through public space, becoming a shared line between the artist, the audience and the surrounding environment.

VIDEO FOR EXHIBITION CONTEXTS

The performance can also exist as a video excerpt for exhibitions, screenings and installation formats.

OBJECT / INSTALLATION

The braid, doll, drawings, collage and related objects can form a visual and sculptural environment around the performance.

Each presentation responds to the language, architecture and social context in which the work is encountered.

VIDEO / EXHIBITION EXCERPT

Video excerpt from Fils d’identité.

The work can be presented as a live ritual performance, a multilingual audio piece, a participatory procession or an exhibition video.
